Q. Who are you and what do you do?
I’m Paul Moorhouse, I’m the 20th Century Curator here at the National Portrait Gallery, and what that really means is that all acquisitions, displays, and exhibitions and research related to the 20th century collection come under my umbrella, that’s my responsibility. I’m responsible for adding to the collection seeing what new portraits from the 20th century need to be added to our existing collection. The business of getting them on the walls and showing them, displays, that’s also a part of my remit, and occasionally we do exhibitions of particular 20th century artists or themes running through the 20th century. So I come up with suggestions and curate certain exhibitions.
